Dorothy Schoening 20, Passed Away

Dorothy Marie Schoening youngest daughter of Ferd and Mary Schoening was born at Manning, Iowa, December 3, 1919, and passed away at the Coleman hospital at 10 o'clock Monday morning of last week, having reached the age of 20 years, 9 months and, 23 days.

She was baptized in the Methodist Church. She lived in various communities until 1930 and since that that time she has lived in and around Estherville and graduated with the class of 1940.

Dorothy was an affectionate, lovable girl and was very fond of helping others. She had a cheerful smile for everyone and always had a great deal of respect for the aged.
She has left a vacant place in the hearts of fond mother and father and brother and sister, and will be missed by her many friends who always admired both her personality and spirit.

She leaves to cherish the memory of father and mother, three sisters Hertha, Vera, Myrtle and four brothers, Adolph, Emil, Herbert and Lynn, her grandmother,

Mrs. Henry Lakeman, six neph ews and two nieces, besides a number of uncles and aunts.

Funeral services were held Wed nesday at 2:00 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church.
A mixed quartet sang three beautiful songs, "In the Garden," "Down The Valley One by One," God Will Take Care of You."
Interment was made in the family lot in the Oak Hill cemetery with. F.W. Ortmeyer officiating.

Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schoening of Lakefield, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Free Bowden and children; Jackson, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schoening and daughter, Carroll, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lakeman and daughter, Mrs. Henry Lakeman, Mrs. Marcus Peck of Elkton, S. Dak., Mr. Paul Jentsch, Mr. Melvin Jentsch, Miss Ollie Jentsch and Mrs. Alfred Mohr of Manning, Iowa.
