Granddaughter of Mrs. Anna Fritz Died
Mrs. Luverne (Dorothy) Nelson, 28, of near Wakonda, Minnesota, granddaughter of Mrs. Anna Fritz of Manning, died recently in a Rochester, Minnesota, hospital following a three weeks' illness during which, time she suffered from a rare gland ailment.

Mrs. Nelson was born March 29, 1917, on a farm near Ramona, South Dakota, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fritz, and died May 16, 1945. She grew to maturity in the Irene, South Dakota, community, attended Lutheran Church and was confirmed in that faith in 1931.

She was married to Luverne Nelson of Wakonda January 10, 1939, and for the last four years they had been on the farm near there. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Jerome David, 5; her father, Louis Fritz; two sisters, two brothers, one recovering from war injuries in Utah and another in Germany; and her grandmother, Mrs. Anna Fritz of Manning.

Those from here who attended the funeral May 19 include Anna Fritz, Mrs. Gilbert Fritz, and Edward Vermeule.

Note: there is an Anna (Kortum) Fritz - Mrs. Andrew Fritz of Manning, but the Anna above and her son Louis, do not connect with the Kortum-Fritz family, so hopefully someone can help me with more information on Dorothy Nelson's family.
