Funeral services for Mrs. Wm. Timmerman, 81, will be held at the Ohde Funeral Home, Friday afternoon, March 21st with Rev. Alexander Wimberly, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, in charge, Interment will be in the Manning cemetery.
Mrs. Timmerman, a long time resident of this vicinity passed away Tuesday forenoon at her home in South Manning following a long illness. She was 81 years, 5 months and 18 days of age at her death.
The deceased was born September 30, 1850 in Hanerau, Holstein, Germany and came to America in 1888. Her maiden name was Dora Blocker. On Nov. 5 1888 she was married to William Timmerman at Council Bluffs.
Mr. And Mrs. Timmerman moved from Persia, Iowa to Manning in 1906 and opened a meat market which they conducted until recent years. They observed their golden wedding anniversary on Nov. 6, 1938.
Survivors include her husband two sons Henry and Fred Timmerman and four grand children, Dorothy and Eleanor Sutherland and Max and Warren Timmerman all of Manning. She also leaves a brother Johannes Blocker of Hamburg, Germany, the last of a family of five children.
One son Charles and a daughter, (Gertrude) Mrs. R. G. Sutherland preceded her in death.
