Dora Schmidt
Obituary.
It is with deep regret that we write of the death of Mrs. Frank Schmidt who died of typhoid
fever at Weatherford, Oklahoma, on August 26th, cut down as she was in the bloom of life. But life
is uncertain and death is sure. The old must die and the young may.
Dora (Wellhausen) Schmidt was born in Germany and had she lived until the 19th day of October she would have been 22 years old. She moved with her parents to America when she was but two years of age and settled in Sioux Valley, Minnesota. Two years ago she was married to Frank Schmidt. They left Manning last March and settled near Weatherford on a homestead. The last of July, she was taken sick and this terminated in typhoid fever which caused her death. She leaves a husband and little baby only nine months old. She was laid to rest in the cemetery near Weatherford August 27th. The Monitor joins with their friends in extending sympathy to the remaining family in this, their saddest hour of sorrow.
