In Memory of Denice Wurr

Services for Denice Wurr of Colorado Springs, Colorado, were held August 4, 2010, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.

Denice Marie Wurr, the daughter of Francis & Marceline (Schmitz) Bissen was born on January 7, 1959, in Denison, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Defiance, Iowa. Denice attended Manilla Community School and was a member of the graduating class of 1977.

On September 5, 1981, Denice was united in marriage to Donald Wurr, of Manning, Iowa, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Defiance, Iowa. One daughter, Nicole Marie, was born to this union. After their marriage, they lived in Denison, Iowa until 1985 when they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She enjoyed her flower gardens, crafts, playing bunco and her job at Ramtron. She was very involved at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Her family and friends were very important to her. Denice died on July 31, 2010, in her home, having attained the age of fifty-one years, 6 months and 24 days. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Marceline Bissen.

Survivors include her husband, Donald, and her daughter, Nicole and Nicole's fiancee, Alan McCann of Lubbock, Texas; brothers and sister, Don Bissen of Fremont, Nebraska, Darrell Bissen and his wife Brenda of Dow City, Iowa, Dean Bissen of Defiance, Iowa, DyAnn Muff and her husband Doug of Westminster, Colorado, Delbert Bissen and his wife Jill of Defiance, Iowa; nieces & nephews and many other relatives and friends.
