DEAN HERBERT STRIBE
Dean, son of Herbert and Regilda (Stoffers) Stribe, was born January 31, 1932, in Manning, Iowa. He attended Manning schools and
graduated from Manning High School in 1950.
On June 24, 1952 Dean was united in marriage with Marjorie Rowedder. Two children, Curtis and Keith, were born to this union. Dean farmed northeast of Manning on his home farm.
Dean became ill with cancer last December and died on Thursday evening, November 1, 1990, at Manning General Hospital at the age of 58 years, 9 months, and 1 day.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert and by a brother, Lonnie, as a child.
Dean is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of Manning; by his mother, Regilda Stribe, of Manning; by two sons, Curtis Stribe and his wife, Caryl, of Manning and Keith Stribe and his wife, Mary Jane, of Carroll; by six grandchildren: Kelsey, Heather, and Kyle, of Manning and Nolan, Sara, and Landon, of Carroll; by a brother, Lowell Stribe and his wife, Lois, of Manning; by his father and mother-in-law, Ruvilla and Verna Rowedder, of Carroll; and by other relatives and friends.
Dean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Manning, having served as a trustee.
Dean enjoyed his farming and spending time with his family and friends at the lake and with his friends in town.
