David L. Swank 78, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, Fort Dodge.
Visitation March 11, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City, Iowa. Masks are recommended.
Graveside service March 12, 11:00 AM Manning Cemetery, Manning, with Pastor Christopher Bowden officiating.

David Liston Swank was born April 12, 1942, at Botna, Iowa. He graduated from Manning High School, with the Class of 1961. On July 25, 1965, he was united in marriage to Ginette Marie Kuker at Sacred Heart Church in Manning. The couple made their home in Audubon where Dave worked as the production manager for Talbot-Carlson Inc. In 1986, they moved to Tucson, Arizona, where Dave worked at American Smelting & Refining Company until his retirement. During his retirement years he worked part time for the Northwest Fire District in Tucson until 2014. Dave enjoyed flipping houses and buying and selling cars with his brother-in-law Jim. In September of 2020, the couple moved to Rockwell City.

He was predeceased by his parents, Earl Swank and Norine (Wycoff) Swank; and his sisters, Betty Jessen and Virginia Knudsen.

He is survived by his children, David Swank (Brenda) of Rockwell City, Jeffrey Swank (Carla) of Spencer and Janine Swank of Tucson, Arizona; his grandchildren, Amanda Kortz of Tucson, Marci Bowden (Chris) of Cedar Rapids, Abby Eagan (Colin) of Cedar Falls, Michael Swank of Spencer, Sadie Swank (Scott Drees) of Marion and Marisa Swank of Ames; his great grandchild Bricen Kortz; his sister Verna Boers "Bud" of Lake Havasu, Arizona; and his wife Ginette Marie Kuker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
