Daryle, son of Herbert and Edna (Meggers) Rowedder, was born August 13, 1936, on a farm in Crawford County, Iowa. He attended rural grade school in Crawford County and then Manning High School, graduating with the Class of 1955.

On October 7, 1961, Daryle was united in marriage with Beverly Hoffman at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll. They made their home in Manning and were the parents of two children. Daryle started working at Manning Oil after graduation from high school and later became a partner and co-owner. He and his partner sold the business in 2001. Daryle then drove the garbage truck for D & L Refuse part-time.

Daryle was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning where he was baptized and confirmed. In his spare time, Daryle enjoyed playing cards, fishing and spending time with family. He also enjoyed watching sporting events and was an avid Kansas City Royals and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Daryle's health began to decline in December of 2007. He entered Manning Regional Healthcare Center on Thursday, three days before his death there on January 27, 2008. He was 71 years, 5 months and 14 days of age.

Preceding Daryle in death are his parents and grandparents Herman and Katie Rowedder and Emil and Sophia Meggers.
