Damian "Doc" White, 73 of Carroll, died early Monday morning, September 22, 2014, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel. The Celebrant will be Fr. Lynn Bruch. Music will be by Denise Nieland and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Don Masching. Eucharistic Minister will be Dorothy Bellinghausen. Casket Bearers will be: Elmer Venteicher, Bruce Addison, Jim White, Dewey Vonnahme, Tanner White and Brian Lawler. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 p.m. on Wednesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m.

Damian "Doc" White was born on September 25, 1940, at Odebolt, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Frances (Hickey) White. He attended Manning Public School and later attended St. Francis School in Maple River. Doc worked several years for Heinrichs Construction, Andrews Roofing, and McCarville Motors. For most of his working career he was employed at Witt Flooring and Des Moines Marble & Mantel where he traveled doing Terrazzo work. Doc loved going for drives in his pickup truck and also enjoyed socializing on his porch. He will always be remembered as a simple man with a great sense of humor and for his generosity.
Doc is survived by his brother Chuck White of Carroll; his friend Loa Becker of Maple River; his nieces and nephews: Joni (Dewey) Vonnahme of Carroll, Jim (Joelle) White of Carroll, and Jack (Janelle) White of St. Joseph, MI; as well as several great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.
Doc was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Floyd White Jr.
