Mrs. Peters, 66, Manning, Is Dead
Mrs. John Peters, 66, died at her home on Main Street here about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, April 14, 1949. Her death was attributed to a stroke due to a heart condition. She had been in poor health since last June.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm. Monday at the Ohde Funeral home. The Rev. Brown Garlock, minister of the Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Peters was born Clara Dorothea Lohmeier August 12, 1882, in Washington Township, Carroll County. Her marriage took place March 18, 1902.

Mr. and Mrs. Peters farmed north of Arcadia until 1917 when they retired and moved to Manning.

Surviving with her husband are three sons, Orla and Elmer Peters, both farming near Manning, and Gilbert Peters, Manning: three granddaughters; one great-grandson, Stephen McCollum, and three sisters: Mrs. John Schleeter (Frieda), Springfield, Minnesota; Mrs. Johanna Gramkau, Limon, Colorado; and Mrs. Helen Addy, Omaha.

The three sisters are the only survivors in a family of 12 children. A sister and brother died in infancy. Also deceased are John, Joe, and Peter Lohmeier, Mrs. Anna Moeller, Mrs. Emma Voss, and Mrs. Louisa Kuhl.
