Mrs. Alvin Musfeldt, 47, of Manning died unexpectedly at Manning General Hospital Saturday, August 31, 1974.
Rites were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Don Griffin, minister of the United Methodist Church of Manning, officiating. Pallbearers were Wilbur Lamp, Alfred Ahrendsen, Glen Struve, Ed Venteicher, Roland King, and Larry Hinners. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.
Mrs. Musfeldt was the former Clara Edna Wiley, daughter of Fred and Clara (Lorenz) Wiley. She was born June 27, 1927, near Bagley in Greene County. Her mother died when she was a year old and she lived with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Nelson, near Bayard. She was a graduate of Bayard High School. On May 24, 1949, she married Mr. Musfeldt and they have farmed southeast of Manning.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Mrs. Merle (Cynda) Juhl of Manilla, Vickie, Randy and Ricky, at home; her aunt, Mrs. Jessie Nelson of Bayard; and the following brothers and sisters: Lester Wiley of Bayard; Chester Wiley of Maryville, Missouri; Virgil Wiley of Irwin; Russell Wiley of Auburn, California; Mrs. Lawrence (Irma) Holley of Carroll; Mrs. Roy (Donna) Freeman of St. James, Minnesota; Roy Wiley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Arlene Harding of Aiken, South Carolina; and Mrs. C.K. (Mildred) Rohovit of Ames.
Mrs. Musfeldt was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents and her uncle, Jake Nelson.
