Mrs. Rowedder Of Manning Dies
Mrs. Christina Marie Rowedder, 67, Manning resident for eight years, died at the Manning General Hospital at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 1953. She had been ill about a year and had been hospitalized at Iowa City before entering the Manning Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home. Dr. F.E. Hamlin, pastor of the Manning Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Gordon Zimmerman, pastor of the Audubon Presbyterian Church, will officiate. The Presbyterian quartet, Ray Pratt, Martha (Mrs. N.C.) Schrum, Emma (Mrs. Albert) Dietz, and Arthur Rix, will sing, accompanied by Bonita (Mrs. H.W.) Hagedorn.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers.

Mrs. Rowedder, daughter of John and Johanna (Sievertsen) Joachimsen was born October 18, 1886, in Hayes Township, Crawford County. She married Henry Rowedder August 25, 1905. Mr. Rowedder died August 3, 1928.

Mrs. Rowedder moved into Manning from a farm eight years ago.

Surviving children are: Mrs. Charles (Elda) Stuhr, Arcadia; Mrs. Louis (Lenora) Popp, Manning; Ruvilla Rowedder, Carroll; Ira, Glenn, and Lyle, Manning. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Rowedder was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
