Christian Wiese, aged twenty-six years, died on Friday, October 10, 1890, of consumption at the home of his parents, four miles north of town. The funeral was held on the following Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and was largely attended. The remains were interred in the Manning Cemetery.

Besides his father and mother, the deceased leaves one sister and three brothers.
