Dr. Wilhite was born September 28, 1877, a son of Simian F. and Emma Wilhite, at Greenfield, Illinois. He came to Iowa in 1907, opening his practice as veterinarian in Manilla, where he lived for 20 years.
In 1927, he purchased the practice of Dr. C.B. Miller in Manning and lived, here the past 21 years. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School and Kansas City Veterinary College.
He was married at Manilla June 19, 1909, to Mary A. Eberle.
SURVIVORS include his wife, one son, Dr. F.E. Wilhite, Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Roland Wilhite; two sisters, Mrs. J. Story and Mrs. Charles Parks, and two brothers, Jesse and Guy Wilhite, all of Greenfield, Illinois. His parents and one brother, Fred, preceded him in death.
Dr. Wilhite was a member of the Christian Church, Manual lodge, A.F. and A.M., Consistory and Shrine, Sioux City.
DR. WILHITE died at St. Anthony Hospital, Carroll, at 4:10 Friday afternoon, July 9, 1948. He had been ill for eight days of an eye infection from his work and had been hospitalized three days.

Eberle, Cedar Rapids; Guy Tinkham, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Hobbs, Spencer; Dr. and Mrs. Ross Bailey, Atlantic. Mrs. R.O. Van Beber, Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Jack Ort, Harris, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Frales and Irene Holke, Geneseo, Illinois, and many friends from neighboring towns.
