Charles G. Wenzel, a resident of Fort Dodge for fifteen years died early this morning at his home, 1426 Fifth Avenue South, following a lingering illness. Mr. Wenzel was 78 years old. He was a retired farmer.

Besides his widow he is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Asmus, Mrs. John Schade, Mrs. Fred Rutz, Helmuth Wenzel, Mrs. Jake Fielweber and Bernard Wenzel, of Manning, Iowa, Siegfried Wenzel, of Manilla, Iowa; Mrs. H.C. Huebner, of Denison, Iowa; Carl Magdalene, Geraldine and Wilamine of this city. Thirty-four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John Schwiesow, of Aspinwall, Iowa, also survive. Three children preceded Mr. Wenzel in death.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
