Aspinwall man died en route to hospital

Charles Schroeder, 81, of Aspinwall died en route to the Manning General Hospital Friday morning, March 13, 1959.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ohde Funeral home here with the Rev. Lester Moore of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Schroeder, Roy Schilling, Lester Soll, Henry Thomssen, Orren Schroeder, and Ray Dammann.

Mr. Schroeder, who was born November 7, 1877, had lived in the Aspinwall and Manning communities all his life. He had moved into Aspinwall in 1920.

He was married to Margaretha Schultz February 22, 1905. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary last month.

Surviving are his wife, three children: Mrs. Arthur (Minnie) Fuss, Marceline, Missouri; Henry Schroeder, Manning, and Mrs. Roy (Gertrude) Mork, Irwin; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Schroeder, Manning, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Ehrichs.

Mr. Schroeder was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Annie Ehrichs.
