He would have been 77 years old Sunday and a family dinner in his honor had been planned for the day.
Funeral Friday
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde
Funeral Home here. The Rev. Brown Garlock of Ogden,
former minister of the Manning Methodist Church, will officiate.
Mr. Ramsey, son of James Hanford and Nancy (Richey) Ramsey, was born August 2, 1876, at Dedham.
After his marriage to Bessie Johnson April 8, 1903, he worked at the Three Mile Creamery for one year.
Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey then farmed near Botna, moving to South Manning in 1936, and from there into a home two miles west of Manning May 1, 1953.
While farming, Mr. Ramsey established a trucking business which is now operated by three sons, Mayburn, Ed, and Jack.
Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey celebrated their golden wedding anniversary April 8, 1953.
Survivors
Surviving with Mrs. Ramsey are 10 children; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Daughters and sons are: Mrs. Hugo (Juanita) Boeck, Harlan; Mrs. Orla (Edna)
Peters, Ed and Mayburn, Manning; Ralph, Manilla; Mrs. Charles (Bernice)
Laverty, Orren Ramsey; Mrs. Arlo (Thelma) Hodne, and Jack Ramsey, Manning, and Mrs. Sam (Mary) Santi, Omaha.
Two daughters died in Infancy.
