Carl Schroeder Rites Are Set Services for Carl S. Schroeder, 83, a retired jeweler, of 1808 Twenty-third Street, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dunn's Funeral Home, Des Moines.

Mr. Schroeder died Friday evening, March 5, 1954, at his home after a heart attack. He had been ill six months.

Born at Heringsdorf, Germany, February 18, 1871, Mr. Schroeder had lived here with a brother, John F., the last year and a half, returning to Iowa from Denver, Colorado.

He was a 50-year Mason at Manning. His wife, Maude (Hunter) Schroeder died February 12, 1910.

Mr. Schroeder is survived by two brothers, John F., Des Moines, and Frank P., San Diego, California, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Herrmann, Webster Groves, Missouri.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Burial will be at Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa.
