Brian Rule
Brian Lynn Rule, 47, of Roland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 27, 2007, in Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cornerstone Church, Ames. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvest Evangelical Free Church in Story City. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery at a later date.

Brian was born on May 27, 1959, in Manning, Iowa, to Gerald and Margene (Drees) Rule.

He graduated from Regis High School in Cedar Rapids and attended Iowa State University.

He married Tracy Britton on September 21, 1984, in Ames.

He worked for Pike Construction and excelled as a skilled carpenter and supervisor. He was a longtime member of Harvest Evangelical Free Church in Story City and also attended Cornerstone Church in Ames.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy of Roland; two daughters, Renee Leigh Rule and Katie Kay Rule of Roland; his parents of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Randy Rule of Cedar Rapids; and Duane Rule of Golden, Colorado; two sisters, Pam Rule of Payson, Arizona; and Karen Wertheim of Ottumwa; and a grandmother, Viola Drees of Exira, Iowa.

Brian was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Richard Britton.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
