Con-celebrants were the Revs. C.A. Altmann, James R. Smith, Edmund H. Tiedeman and Paul E. Roder.
During the offertory procession, students from the junior class at Kuemper High School placed 17 roses on the altar, symbolizing the 17 years of their classmate's life, along with a hand-drawn picture and a copy of a poem that was read.
Pallbearers were John Vonnahme, Dennis Broich, Brian Houlihan, Mark Uhlenkamp, Pat Staiert, and Curt Zimmerman. Interment was in the parish cemetery, under direction of the Twit Funeral Home of Carroll.
Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Littleton, Colorado; Vista, California; Chicago, Illinois; Arcadia, and surrounding area.
Brent died February 17, 1976, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, after a long illness.

Brent Edward Wiese, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Emery
Wiese of Route 1, Arcadia, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 1976, at St.
Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. He is buried at Saint John's Catholic Cemetery, Arcadia, Iowa.
A Kuemper High School junior, he had been in failing health since September, 1974.
Arrangements are pending at the Twit Funeral Home in Carroll.
Brent was born at Manning January 22, 1959; his mother is the former Virginia Mae Greteman of Manning. He was a member of St. John's Church, Arcadia.
As a high school freshman he served on the Kuemper Student Mission Crusade. He was on a debate team during his freshman and sophomore years and as a sophomore, entered the C.Y.O. speech contest and also a state speech contest.
Surviving with his parents are two brothers, Lon E. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Lynn J. of Iowa City; a sister, Shelley M., at home; and grandmothers, Mrs. Alma Greteman of Arcadia and Mrs. Anna Wiese of Littleton, Colorado.
A brother, Terry O., preceded him in death.
