He leaves a wife, Anna (Hansen) Sönksen, and six living children to mourn his loss viz: Mrs. H. Rohr, John Sonksen, Boy Sonksen, Jr., and Jens Sonksen of Manning and Mrs.
Katie Hass of Omaha, and a daughter in Germany. The relatives were all present at the funeral which occurred from the Lutheran Church Friday morning at 10 o'clock, Pastor Johann Ansorge officiating, after which the remains were interred in the Manning Cemetery south of town followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends.
