Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ohm were held

Monday, December 11, 1978, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church,

Manning.

Officiating was the Rev. Donald Jones, organist was Bonita Hagedorn, and soloist was Linda McCollum.

Interment was in Manning Cemetery with Lyle Arp, Merlin Struve, Erwin Witt, Jack Horbach, C.M: Johnson and Chris Schmidt as casketbearers.

Ohde Funeral Home in Manning was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Elsbe, daughter of Hans and Margaretta Schnecken Reimers, was born November 6, 1888, near Manning in Crawford County. After attending Manning schools, she worked for the Martens Merchantile Store for 8 1/2 years.

Betty was united in marriage with Harry J. Ohm on June 24, 1913. They lived in Chicago for nearly four years before returning to Manning to make their home and raise their two children. Her husband, Harry, died on March 15, 1959.

Betty was a member of the Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Bible Readers, and Woman's Relief Corps for over 50 years.

She has been in failing health for about a year and died on Saturday, December 9, 1978, at the Manning General Hospital at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Richard R., on January 5, 1962, a great grandson, Jon E. Ramsey, on February 18, 1973, her parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Dolores, Mrs. Edward Ramsey, Manning; daughter-in-law, Mrs: Mary Jane Ohm, Sacramento, Calif.; 4 grandchildren, Leonard Ramsey; Coon Rapids, Dennis Ramsey, Manning, Michael Ohm, Sacramento, Calif., Michele Ohm Pratt, Sacramento, Calif.; 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many other, relatives and friends.
