MRS. BESSIE WYCOFF

Mrs. Bessie Mae Wycoff, 95, of Manning died early Wednesday, July 23, 1975, at Manning General Hospital, where she had been a patient for a week.

Rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Donald Jones, minister of the United Methodist Church, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale Wegner, Paul Knudson, Dave Swank, Dick McConnell, Rodney McConnell, and Bradley Boers. Friends may call at Ohde Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Wycoff, daughter of Calvin and Elizabeth (Traverse) Spickler, was born in Tama County September 17, 1879. She received her education in Tama County, Arkansas, and Shelby County. She was married to Eli Liston Wycoff June 28, 1899, and they farmed near Botna in Shelby County.

Mr. Wycoff died December 18, 1957, and shortly thereafter she moved to Manning. Since October 1974, she had resided at the Manning Plaza nursing home.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ramsey and Mrs. Milford (Noreen) McConnell, and a son, Gordon, all of Manning; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marcia Traverse of Polo, Illinois.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wycoff was preceded in death by two infant children; a daughter. Virginia: two great-grandchildren and a brother.
