Last Rites for Mrs. Sommerfeldt Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Sommerfeldt, 83, were held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning Monday morning, June 4, at 9:30 with Pastor John M. Ansorge of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Mrs. Sommerfeldt's body arrived here from Council Bluffs June 1, 1951, same day of her death.

Mrs. Sommerfeldt was born in Germany on February 3, 1867, and was married there to Albert Sommerfeldt, Sr., who passed away at Manning 25 years ago. She died Thursday at the home of her son, John, in Council Bluffs.

She is survived by four children: John, Albert, Manning; Mrs. Erna Peckenberg, Deloit; and Mrs. Frieda Peterson, Council Bluffs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Bill; and two daughters, Ann, and Mrs. Theodore Farrell of Manning.

There are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
