MANILLA - Bernhardt Otto Wenzel died Sunday, July 28 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manilla. S.W. Holstein of Denison will officiate. Interment will be in Nishnabotna Cemetery here.

The son of Charles and Wilhelmina Schwartz Wenzel he was born June 24, 1891 near Manilla. He attended school in the area and German school in Manilla. He worked on farms near Vail and the Manilla area most of his life. He lived with his nephew Henry Wenzel of Vail for 17 years and lived at Eventide Lutheran Home of the Aged in Denison for the past 10 years.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Witt, Earl Pfannkuch, Phillip Wenzel, Arthur Fielweber, Raymond Schade and Arthur Schoessler. Soloist will be Mrs. Judy Jones and Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn both of Manning.

Surviving are his nephew Henry, one sister, Mrs. Rosa Rutz, Manning, four (..... missing information).
