Mass of the Resurrection will be held for Bernadine Catherine Wittrock Thursday, November 14, 1974, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Manning with Fr. Norbert Weber, M.S.C., officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Templeton. Casketbearers will be Mike Jones, Florian Wittrock Jr., Danny Moore, Ricky Wittrock, Merle Wittrock, and Earl Wittrock.
Rosary was said Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. by the Rosary & Altar Society and Wednesday by Fr. Weber. Bible Services were held Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:15, conducted by Fr. Weber.
Bernadine Catherine, daughter of Martin & Anna (Riesselman) Eischeid, was born August 15, 1895, south of Halbur, Iowa. She attended schools at Holy Angels School in Roselle. She was united in marriage to George Wittrock, February 10, 1920.
Mr. & Mrs. Wittrock farmed southwest of Templeton until retiring to Manning in 1960. She has been in failing health the past few months, and passed away in the hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sunday afternoon, November 10.
She was preceded in death by 4 children in infancy, one grandchild, her parents, and one brother, Henry Eischeid.
Survivors are her husband, George, Manning; 5 children, Florian Wittrock, Carroll; Mrs. Harold (Agnes Juels, Manning; Mrs. Ellsworth (Marion) Jones, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Ed (Janet) Pevey, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, and James Wittrock, Manning; 20 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Frank Eischeid, Halbur, and Martin Eischeid of Manning.
