BEN SEXTRO

Ben Sextro, 82, a retired Manning farmer, died Saturday December 1, 1984, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Starrett, in Los Gatos, California.

Rite of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 7, at Sacred Heart Church in Manning with the Rev. Msgr. Dean Walker as celebrant.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery in Templeton.

Rosaries will be recited at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Sextro is survived by his wife Loretta, Manning; a daughter Mrs. Bernice Starrett and her husband, Dr. Richard Starrett, Los Gatos, California; two sons: Loren and Eldon Sextro, Long Beach, California; grandchildren, and two sisters: Marie Drees, Manning and Pauline Kerkhoff, Templeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Frank "Shorty" Sextro.

Mr. Sextro was born September 6, 1902, near Templeton, a son of Barney and Mary (Wegman) Sextro. He attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton.

On May 30, 1945, he was married to Loretta Seyller at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. He farmed the home place near Templeton and in 1960 moved to another farm just outside of Manning. He retired several years ago. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Manning.
