Rebecca Violet, daughter of John and Marilyn (Lux) Bennett, was born March 12, 1952, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. She grew up in Carroll and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1970. Becky then worked at Jung's Bakery.
On May 20, 1972, Becky was united in marriage with Garry Puck at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. Three children were born to this couple. The family first made their home in Carroll before moving to an acreage near Templeton. In 1991, they moved into Manning. Becky worked for GE in Carroll and at Wells and Burcliff in Manning. She most recently worked at Pella Rollscreen in Carroll.
Becky was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and watching her grandchildren. Becky also enjoyed following the Iowa State Cyclones and tail-gaiting at their football and basketball games. Go Cyclones!!!
In 2010, Becky was diagnosed with cancer and on Monday, January 20, 2014, she passed away at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning. She was sixty-one years of age.
Becky is survived by her husband of 41 years, Garry Puck of Manning; three children: Brenda Olberding and husband Jered of Carroll; Todd Puck and wife Julie of Bennington, Nebraska; Sara Goldsberry and husband Jason of Pleasant Hill; nine grandchildren: Blake and Abby Olberding; Bryce, Machaela, Colby and William Puck; Ava, Alayna and Andrew Goldsberry; her mother Marilyn Bennett of Carroll; a sister Michelle Davidson and husband Bruce of Carroll; a brother Michael Bennett of Carroll; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father John Bennett. The Johnson & Woodhouse Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of arrangements.
