Death of Mrs. Ranniger.
Mrs. Antje Ranniger died at, her son's home, Mr. William Ranniger, over in Iowa Township a short distance north of Aspinwall, last Saturday. She had been feeble for some time and her death was no surprise although the parting is always sad. She was a good kind-hearted woman and a loving mother and was a member of the German Lutheran Church for many years.

Mrs. Ranniger was born June 10, 1825, in Holstein, Germany, and was married in 1853. Four children were born to them, John, William and two daughters who survive her. She came to America in 1874 and first settled in Davenport, Iowa, but later moved to Clinton County where they lived until nineteen years ago when they moved to Manning near where they have resided ever since. The funeral occurred at the residence last Monday, Rev. William Martens officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery south of town.
