A deep gloom was cast over the community last week when it was learned that Mrs. George Schade had passed into the next world. On September 13, 1920, a baby daughter was born to her. For the first few days she seemed to be getting along nicely but blood poisoning set in which caused her death.
Annie Schade, nee Ehrichs daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ehrichs, was born in Crawford County, Iowa on August 13, 1896. Here she grew to young womanhood and received her schooling. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in which she was confirmed August 20, 1911.
On October 17, 1919, she was married to George Schade. They went to farming near Aspinwall and it was there that the young mother gave her life for the blessing of motherhood.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, George Schade, an infant daughter, Ellen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ehrichs Sr.; ten brothers, Chris, Henry, John, Herman, Ben, Alfred, August, Emil, Louis, and Frank and two sisters, Mrs. Emil Tollgaard of Flandreau, South Dakota and Mrs. Hugo Brus.
She died September 21, 1920, aged 24 years, 1 month and 8 days.
