MRS. ANNIE PETERSEN
Funeral rites for Mrs. Annie Petersen, 82, were held on Monday morning, January 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev. Andrew Stewart-Morris of the Manning Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers.

Daughter of John and Anna (Yetter) Schwiesow, she was born May 22, 1885, in Iowa Township and attended rural schools. She married Jacob Petersen on February 8, 1918, and they farmed near Manning until 1930, when they retired and moved into town. Mr. Petersen died in 1945.

For the past seven years, Mrs. Petersen had lived in the Friendship Home near Audubon. She died on Friday evening, January 12, 1968, at the Audubon County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a step-son and five step-daughters.

She is survived by the following step-daughters: Mrs. Lena Grimm, Manning; Mrs. Marie Misselhorn, Manning; Mrs. Alma Petersen, Hardwick, Minnesota; Mrs. Lilly Nissen, Carroll; and Mrs. Malinda Grage, Manning; 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
