Taken In The Prime of Life
Mrs. Louie Tank Passed AwayJuly 17
Funeral Held Wednesday

It is with sorrow in our heart that we are called upon to chronicle the death of Mrs. Louie Tank. She passed away in the midst of happiness and contentment, awaiting the happy moment that unites still closer the ties of love, and brings joy to the happy home; then came a blow of sorrow that wrecks all happiness, leaving a gloom and anguish where there should be happiness and, joy. A new life was brought into this world, but at an enormous sacrifice —the life of the mother who gave it. A happy home is darkened in the shadow of sorrow and may God lighten the burden of sorrow of those who feel this great loss.

Anna Tank, nee Schroeder, was born March 30th, 1896, in Washington township, Carroll county, Iowa, and died at her home six miles north of Manning, about two miles from her birthplace, on Sunday, July 17, 1932, at the age of 36 years, 3 months and 17 days.

She grew to womanhood near Manning and was united in holy wedlock to Mr. Louie Tank, on February 25th, 1920, to which union three children were born. She is survived by her bereaved husband, Louie Tank, and her three children: Clifford, Norma Ann and the baby son who was born a few hours before its mother passed away.

She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Schroeder of Manning, two brothers, Johnnie and Julius and four sisters, Mrs. Anita Nulle, Mrs. Ida Joens, Mrs. Laura Musfeldt and Mrs. Edna Vollstedt, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The deceased was a delightful person, a loving wife and mother, and will be tremendously missed by her loved ones and her many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Ohde Funeral home on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Reverend Harry Coates of Woodbine, Iowa, after which interment was made at the Manning cemetery. The pallbearers were Herbert Hinze, Emil Martens, Harry Martens, John Meister, Otto Kroeger and Herman Mohns.
