MRS. ANNA MARIA STRUVE
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Maria Struve, 81, of Manning, were held on Tuesday morning, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with Rev. Robert Rushing of the Manning Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Hill, Westside; Juel Hoffman, Wheaton, Ill.; Ray Guritz, Ankeny; Donald Struve, Fort Dodge; Robert Cox, Englewood, Colorado; and Roy Struve of Manning.
Daughter of Henry E. and Maria Siggelka Joens, she was born on June 9, 1888 near Aspinwall, and attended rural schools. She was married to John J. Struve on Feb. 25, 1914 at Carroll. They farmed north of Manning, then moved to a farm east of Manning, where they lived until retiring to Manning in 1936. Mr. Struve died in 1961.
Mrs. Struve passed away on July 5 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, where she had been for some time.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, a sister, Alma and a brother, Freddie, in infancy.
She is survived by a son, Merlin, and her daughter-in-law, Elaine; a grand-daughter, Frances of Manning; a brother, Henry Joens of Jackson, Minn,; and three sisters: Mrs. Hertha Jensen, Jackson, Minn. Mrs. Else Struve, Manning, and Mrs. Loletta Cox of Englewood, Colorado,
Mrs. Struve was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Manning Garden Club.
