Mrs. Stribe Dead.
May 26, 1910 Manning Monitor

Mrs. Anna Stribe, nee Hoesley, was born at New Glarus, Wisconsin, May 7, 1867. She moved with her parents when four years of age to Grant City, Sac County, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood and on January 7, 1890, was united in marriage to Frank R. Stribe, with whom she lived in loving fellowship for twenty years. To this happy union God gave His divine approval and sanction in the form of manifold blessings. The home blossomed into a family of four splendid children, one son and three daughters.

For fourteen years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Stribe and children resided near Manning Iowa. In 1903 they moved to Hartley and since that time have lived in their beautiful home one mile south of the city. After a lingering illness of several months, the patient wife and mother answered the call of death, passing away early on Tuesday morning, May 17th, at the age of 43, years and 11 days.

There remains to mourn her loss a devoted husband, four children, her father and mother, one brother two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains will be taken to Manning tomorrow (Friday) morning. Services were conducted at the home this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. F.W. Bachemeyer.

The community of Hartley has lost one of their best women. The Presbyterian Church has lost a devoted and kindly worker. The family has lost a beloved wife and mother. The sympathy of all is extended to the sorrowing ones who remain to mourn her loss.
