MRS. ANNA STEIN

Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Anna Stein was celebrated Friday, February 1, 1980, at the Sacred Heart Church in Manning at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. Dean Walker as celebrant. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Templeton. The Ohde Funeral home in Manning was in charge of arrangements.

Anna Hochsteatter was born September 2, 1883, in Iowa. She was united in marriage with Peter Stein on October 24, 1905. They lived in Templeton where her husband died March 1, 1960. She continued to make her home in Templeton until moving to Manning to be with her son, Joseph, in 1964. Due to failing health she entered the Manning Plaza in August of 1969, and passed away at the Manning General Hospital on Wednesday, January 30, 1980, at the age of 96 years, 4 months, and 28 days.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Theodore in 1962 and Joseph in 1978.

She is survived by eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Anna was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Templeton and a fifty-one year member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
