It has pleased the Almighty, God to call out of this life to Himself in heaven, Mrs. Anna Luce Pruter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hansen. She was born at Lincoln Township, Audubon County, Iowa, on the 17th day of April 1895.
In infancy she was baptized in the name of the Triune God and later after a thorough religious training she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, becoming a member of the Lincoln Township Lutheran Church.
Her childhood days were spent at the home of her parents, where Anna proved herself an obedient and faithful daughter. She was always a happy and contented child, willing to serve and assist her patents. And as she was loyal and devoted to her parents, she also showed this loyalty toward her friends, who esteemed her friendship very highly.
On the 2nd day of February 1921, she was united in holy wedlock with Mr. Julius William Pruter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franz Pruter. Shortly after the wedding day the young couple settled upon a farm near West Side, where Anna spent the last year of her life. Their married life was a very happy one, but suddenly terminated, when after but a brief illness Anna was called out of this life into the Great Beyond, on the 8th day of December 1921.
She brought her age to 26 years, 7 months, and 21 days.
Her seemingly untimely death is mourned by her devoted husband, Julius Pruter, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hansen her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Franz Pruter, her brothers Otto and Hugo, her sisters Mrs. Amelia Hass, Alma, Tillie and Hilda her brothers-in-law Gustav and Frank Pruter, her sisters-in-law Emma and Mrs. Caroline Molter, besides many near and distant relatives and a great many friends.
