Mr. and Mrs. Musfeldt came to the United States in June 1882, and settled at Westside, Iowa. Later, they farmed near Manning until their retirement 23 years ago, when they moved into town. Mr. Musfeldt passed away in 1904.
Survivors include the following children, all of whom live near Manning: John, Fred, Mrs. August Nulle, (Katie), William, Julius, Hans, Frank, and Louie. There are 27 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
A son, Henry, died at the age of 13 years.
Mrs. Musfeldt was a pioneer of this vicinity and one of the oldest residents of Manning. She was the last of a family of seven children.

Note: In the various obituaries and other sources I have found many versions: Nuttleman, Nottleman, Nottelman, Notterman, Nuttelman, and some with the
double "n" at the end of the name, so the correct spelling needed to be determined for this Manning family.
Here is Anna Nottelmann's batismal record February 1852 from a distant Musfeldt relative in Germany, which would be the original and correct spelling before immigrating to
the United States.
