MRS. ANNA MUELLER DIED SUNDAY P.M.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mueller were held at the Ohde Funeral home on Wednesday afternoon, April 19, 1950, at 2 with the Rev. Harlan Kruse of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Herman Pahde sang solos for the service.

Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Francis J. McMahon, Ralph G. Sutherland, Henry Martens, Willis Puck, Herman Vogt, and Henry Brandhorst acted as pallbearers.

Anna Wiese, fourth child of Dethlef and Margaretha Wiese, was born January 5, 1872, at DeWitt, Iowa. She was one of eleven children, seven of whom preceded her in death.

When she was two years old, she moved with her parents to a farm near Westside, and attended the first school in Hayes Township. The family moved to Manning in 1894.

On January 15, 1896, she was united in marriage to Henry Mueller of Manning. For a time, Mrs. Mueller was engaged in the millinery business; then became active in the furniture and drapery business. In all, she was in business in Manning for 55 years, until her health failed.

Mrs. Mueller passed away at St. Anthony hospital in Carroll Sunday afternoon, April 16, 1950. She had been a patient there seven months.

Mr. Mueller died on January 5, 1947.

Mrs. Mueller is survived by one son, Elmer, and his wife, and three brothers; Ed and Albert Wiese of Manning and Dr. Charles Wiese of Lake City.

Business houses closed from 2 to 3 o'clock Wednesday out of respect for Mrs. Mueller.
