AMY SWANSON
DAKOTA CITY - Amy Michelle (Kasperbauer) Swanson, 28, of Kenmore, Washington, formerly of Dakota City, died September 29, 2010, at Evergreen Memorial Hospital in Kirkland, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Amy is survived by her husband, Ryan Swanson; son, Jaedon Swanson; mother, Pam (Richard) Houston of Dakota City; father, Dave (Deb) Kasperbauer of Manning; brothers, Mike Kasperbauer of Fort Dodge, Jeremy Kasperbauer of Plover, Wisconsin, and Brandon Kasperbauer of Ankeny; grandmother, Margaret Kasperbauer of Manning. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Helen Pelican and Jerome Kasperbauer; and her brother-in-law, Josh Schneider.
Amy Michelle Kasperbauer, the daughter of Dave and Pam (Pelican) Kasperbauer, was born December 17, 1981 at Manning, Iowa. At the age of 12, she moved with her family to Dakota City. In 1997 she was confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church and graduated from Humboldt High School in 2000. While in high school and following her education, Amy was employed at the Humboldt Care Center North where she enjoyed caring for her residents. In 2005, she and Ryan moved to Seattle, Wash., where she was employed in the real estate business then as a Systems Analyst for Boeing Aircraft. On June 25, 2010, she was united in marriage to Ryan Swanson and on September 24, 2010, following much anticipation, her son, Jaedon Lee was born.
Amy touched a lot of lives and will be remembered for her sense of humor and loving smile. She enjoyed her dates with Ryan to the Movies, enjoyed coffee, and loved to go shopping.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the discretion of the family.
