Amanda Magdalena Jahn, daughter of Paul and Catherina Jahn, was born at Manilla, Iowa on August 28, 1889. She received her schooling in Iowa and on March 24, 1909, she was married to George C. Peper. They farmed for 5 years near Manilla, Iowa, and moved to South Dakota in 1914 where they lived northwest of Flandreau until February 1943 when they moved into Flandreau. Mr. Peper passed away in 1956. The past 15 years she made her home at Riverview Manor. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

SURVIVORS
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gertie) Wiese, Wilmont, Minnesota, Mrs. George (Viola) Reif and Mrs. Desmond (Edna) Johnson, both of Egan; two sons, Herman and Emil, both of Flandreau; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Kuhl, Manning, Iowa, Mrs. Adele Mordhorst, Cheyenne, Wyoming; two brothers, Herman Jahn, Manning, Iowa, and Hugo Jahn, Manilla, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
