Mrs. Henry Mordhorst Passes Away at Family Residence in East Boyer on Thursday, March 17th.
Deceased was 50 Years Old
Was Mother of Four Children, All of Whom With the Husband Survive the Mother

Mrs. Henry Mordhorst died at the family home in East Boyer Township Thursday, March 17th, 1921, at 10:30 o'clock in the forenoon at the age of 50 years, 10 months, and 12 days.

Alvine Jipp was born Mary 5, 1870, in Benton County, Iowa, where she was married in 1891 to Henry Mordhorst, a resident of Scott County. They came to Crawford County in 1901, locating on a farm in East Boyer Township, where they have since resided. Mr. and Mrs. Mordhorst were the parents of four children, namely, Edward Mordhorst of East Boyer Township; Mrs. Louie Jahn and Mrs. John Rowedder and Mrs. Hugo Jahn, all residents of Hayes Township. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her death her father, Fred Jipp, of Hartley, Iowa, two brothers, Henry Jipp of Scott County, and Herman Jipp, of O'Brien County, and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Hein, Mrs. Fred Wunder, both residents of O'Brien County, and Mrs. Fred Myer, of Scott County.

The death of Mrs. Mordhorst has cast a gloom in the community where she resided, where she was loved and respected by all with whom she came in contact. She was a devoted wife and a kind and loving mother and her loss will be a great one to the members of her family and the large circle of friends as well.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, Rev. William Frese, pastor of the Lutheran Church in Denison, officiating, after which interment was made in the Hayes Township Cemetery.
