Funeral rites for Mrs. Theodore (Alvina) Vollstedt, 66, were held at 2:00 on Monday afternoon, June 22, 1970, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manilla, with burial in the Manning Cemetery.
Mrs. Vollstedt died on the evening of June 18 at the Manning Hospital. She had entered the hospital on June 1.
Daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Behrens) Vehrs, she was born on February 14, 1904, in Ewoldt Township. She married Theodore Vollstedt at Denison on September 26, 1923. They lived west of Manilla for three years, and then northeast of Manilla for forty years, retiring to Manning three years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a half-brother, Alfred Vehrs and a brother in infancy.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Lyle, of Manilla, six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. William (Margaret) Dillingham, Manning; Mrs. Elsie Hansen, Manilla; Mrs. Dean (Malinda) Ellison, Logan.
The body was at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning until time of rites.
Pallbearers were Melvin Borkowski, Roger Vollstedt, Marlin Hansen, Dale Vollstedt, Paul Vollstedt, and Gary Hansen, nephews.
