MRS. FRANK (ALVENA) STRIBE
Mrs. Frank (Alvena) Stribe, 90, of Manning, died Saturday, June 28, 1980, at the Manning Plaza Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning.

Pallbearers will be Frank and Paul Vetter, Ralph Grundmeier, William Hoffmann, Ivan Wurr, and Walter Felker.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. William (Amanda) Welding, Portland, Oregon; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, three brothers, and three sisters.

Alvena Paulsen was born February 5, 1890, at Sutherland, Iowa, and at the age of 5 moved with her parents, Peter and Catharina (Sievers) Paulsen, Sr., to Missouri. In 1898, they moved to Audubon County, Iowa. In 1911, she was married to Frank Stammer and they farmed south of Manning until 1924 when they moved to Spirit Lake. She was married in 1943, to Frank Stribe and they lived in Manning. He died in 1964.
