MRS. ALMA WIESE

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Margeretha Wiese, 82, were held August 25 in the Huebner Funeral Home at Vail. She died August 22, 1966, at the Plaza rest home in Manning after being ill for two years.

The Rev. Frank Mease, minister of the Vail Presbyterian Church, officiated at the rites.

"The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Mrs. Floyd Van Dusen, Mrs. Arthur Ruch, Mrs. Loren Keairnes and Mrs. Leslie Bremner, accompanied by Traci Ruch. Pallbearers were Leo Bechen, Charles Crampton, Clarence Lappe, Sr., Leonard Keating, Sr., J.C. McCullough, and Louis Popp. Burial was at Manning.

Mrs. Wiese, daughter of Henry and Ida (Wellendorf) Kruetzfeld, was born January 22, 1884, at Lyons in Clinton County. She received her education in rural schools near Lyons and in Hayes Township, Crawford County. Her marriage to Detlef Wiese took place February 15, 1905, at the Hayes Township Five Mile House. She was a member of the Vail Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are 14 children: Mrs. Hugo (Adelaide) Schrum and Leslie of Manning; George, Charter Oak; Mrs. Ila Crampton and Leonard, Omaha; Emil, Arcadia; Clarence, Denison; Mrs. Lloyd (Viola) Dozark, Raymond, Elmer, Alvin, Wilmer, Donald, and Mrs. Lester (Vera) Marton, all of Vail; also 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Wiese was preceded in death by her husband, three grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.
