ALMA L. SCHELLDORF
Alma, daughter of Juergen and Frauke (Hoffman) Pfoltner, was born December 1, 1896, near Manning, Iowa. She attended the rural schools near her home.
On April 2, 1918, Alma was united in marriage with Louis Schelldorf. Two children, Jeri and Charles, were born to this union. Alma and her husband made their home in Manning. Besides raising her family Alma worked at the Schelldorf Clothing Store. She was a past member of the Eastern Star.
In later years Alma was in failing health and moved to the Manning Plaza Nursing Home. She died there on Thursday afternoon, September 8, 1994 at the age of 97 years, 9 months, and 7 days.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include her children: Jeri Sanders, of Omaha, Nebraska and Charles Schelldorf and his wife, Jean, of Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
