Funeral services for Alice E. (Patton) Warnke were held Thurs., September 7, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, Iowa.
Reverend Marshall Brown of the First Presbyterian Church, Manning, Iowa, officiated the service with Connie Siepker as organist.
Interment was held in Manning City Cemetery, Manning, Iowa with David Wiese, Helen Ohde, Sam Wiese, Gene Wiese, Kathryn Wiese and John Ohde as casketbearers.

Alice E. Warnke, 89, of Manning, Iowa, died on September 5, 1995, at Manning General Hospital.
The daughter of Dwight W. and Emma Hagge Patton and a long-time resident of Carroll County, Mrs. Warnke was born August 22, 1906. Her grandfather, U.L. Patton, was one of Manning's first residents.

After graduating from Manning High School in 1924, Alice taught in the Manning Rural Schools. She later moved to Carroll with her husband, August C. Warnke, and returned to Manning in 1979 after her husband's death. She was a member of the Manning Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Dr. Edward Patton; and a grandson, Douglas E. Wiese.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Gene Wiese of Manning; three grandchildren and their spouses: Helen and John Ohde and David and Diana Wiese of Manning; and Kathryn Wiese of Lawrence, Kansas; and two great-grandchildren, Chancellor and Shayne Wiese.


Alice Warnke is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
