Alice M., daughter of Mathew and Catherine (Dalhoff) Wagner, was born March 15, 1930, at Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from Manning High School in 1948.

On July 1, 1952, Alice was united in marriage with Donald J. Stangl at Manning. There were four children born to this union. Donald died on May 23, 1965. During the short 14 years of their marriage, they lived in Fort Dodge, Carroll, Perry, and Jefferson. Following her husband's passing, Alice moved to Manning where she resided for another 52 years. In 1994, she moved from her home on Second Street and lived independently in her own apartment until June 2017. She moved to Char-Mac Assisted Living and thoroughly enjoyed her new environment.

Alice devoted her life of great faith & strong moral example to her 4 children.

Her favorite times were those spent laughing and joking with her family and playing lots of board games. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzle, jigsaw puzzles, Scrabble, and listening to polka and Christian music.
