Memorial Services for Alice L. (Porter) Mihalovich will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive in Des Moines, Iowa. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Alice, daughter of Harry and Margaret (Armstrong) Porter, was born on January 29, 1912 in Manning, Iowa. She graduated from Manning High School in 1930. On November 28, 1970 she married Charles Mihalovich. She was a former resident of Des Moines and had worked for "Look" Magazine in personal correspondence and calligraphy. She enjoyed calligraphy and ballroom dancing.

Alice, age 93, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Bethany Home in Dubuque.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles on July 23, 1989; three siblings: Clarence Porter, Wilbur Porter and Mabel Porter.

Alice is survived by three nephews: Paul (Carole) Porter of Dubuque; Bill (Janet) Porter of Cable, Wisconsin; and Jack (Gladys) Porter of Dubuque.
