Final Services For Mrs. George Mohr, 65, Are Held at Manning
Funeral services for Mrs. George Mohr, 65, were held from
the Ohde Funeral home, August 23, 1948, with the Rev. Brown Garlock
of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.
Neighbors acted as pallbearers. They were John Mundt, Peter Kuhl, Harry Carstens,
Frank Stoelk, Henry Popp, and Henry Schrum.
Mrs. Mohr died of a heart attack at 1 a.m. at her home August 21, 1948. She had not been ill. She and Mr. Mohr had planned to celebrate their 46th wedding anniversary that day.
Mrs. Mohr was born Alfrieda Molter, July 12, 1883, in Hayes Township, Crawford County, Iowa, a daughter of Charles and Emelie Molter.
She was married to George C. Mohr, August 21, 1902, in the farm home where they planned to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Mohr moved to Manning in 1919 and for the past 29 years have lived, in the home in which she passed away.
Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Julius Ohrt (Nellie), two granddaughters, Marian and Shirley Ohrt, of Manning; two brothers, Julius Molter, Carroll; Ed Molter, Manning, and one sister, Mrs. Herman Anthony, Manning.
Those from a distance attending the rites were Mr. and Mrs. John Kruse, Paullina, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mohr and daughter, Edna, and Mr. and Mrs. William Bartels of Ute, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson of Atlantic and Mrs. Laura Campbell of Audubon.
Mrs. Mohr had been in good health and had visited with her neighbors the evening before her death.

Funeral services for Mrs. George Mohr, 65, were held from
the Ohde Funeral home August 23, with the Rev. Brown Garlock
