Albert Wilhelm Christian Stuhr
Albert C. Stuhr, 84, of Carroll, died at 8:08 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 1972, at the Carroll Health Center. A retired farmer, he had lived in this community since 1889, coming here from Elwood.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll; burial will be in the Lanesboro Cemetery. The Rev. Allan M. Peterson, minister of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial was in Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, Iowa.

Mr. Stuhr was born at Elwood June 1, 1888, a son of Theodore and Emma (Rothgaard) Stuhr. He was married to Laura M. Reif at Arcadia on July 11, 1913.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Harley, of Falls City, Nebraska; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dorene Stuhr of Omaha; two granddaughters, Kathleen Stuhr of Des Moines and Marilyn Stuhr of Omaha; and a brother, Ed Stuhr, of Manning.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice, and two brothers, Emil and Jack.
